Is inner peace really possible or are we all just chasing an illusion?

If you're like me, you have a sense that there has to be a way to live here in peace.  None of this would make any sense if there isn't.

If inner peace is not possible than what most, if not all, of the world’s religions are pointing to is imaginary and the longing for peace within each of us, the religious and atheist alike, is a longing for something that does not exist.

And if peace does not exist than there is no way out of dissatisfaction and conflict – so why not just resign ourselves to a life of discontent and strife?

Yet - even if we wanted to we could not. There is something within us that does not allow us to be content with discontent.

We cannot resign ourselves to living with dissatisfaction because it is in our very DNA to be drawn to what is true. We can’t help it.

Peace draws us.

This longing for peace is an urge that can be trusted but to discover peace we must go within – without resistance.

Peace is not only the end, it is the means because they are really one and the same.
