Whenever I see acts of violence such as what recently happened to George Floyd,
I feel such sadness not only for the one on the receiving end
but for those perpetrating the violence.
My heart goes out to them both - to George Floyd and to the police officer
who kept his knee on George’s neck while ignoring his ‘I can’t breathe’ pleas.
How utterly shut off from his true sense of Self that officer must be.
It's such a hellish experience to live feeling cut off
from our natural true sense of peace and love.
Yesterday I watched this video from the spiritual teacher Mooji
about not only the death of George Floyd
but the real possibility we have to go beyond our egoic sense of self.
There is no other way for us to live together in peace and love
until we ourself know the peace and love that is unconditional.
If anything - or anyone at all - confuses us out of this peace and love
then that is an invitation for us to look more deeply.
World peace is the ripple - We are the Source...
this is how important our awakening is.
Awakening is activism at the deepest level.
This week two people emailed me about insights they are having about resistance
and in a nutshell here is what they are now discovering:
Resistance is not something that’s just happening – it’s something I’m doing – or not doing.
Judgment of anything or anyone is resistance.
I’m beginning to see I have a choice to either judge - resist whatever’s happening or not.
When I do resist what’s happening it doesn’t feel good.
I feel tight - closed off to love and peace.
And when I’m not resisting there’s an open feeling … it feels so good.
Deep thanks to all you fellow explorers.
Peace and Love
If what you want is peace -
why not be open to being peaceful now with whatever is in your experience?
Thoughts, feelings, images -
allow them all
and see for yourself
if peace is not only the end but the means.
Yesterday was Easter – the day Christians celebrate Jesus’ resurrection.
To me, this resurrection symbolizes all that is possible.
Not only for us individually but collectively.
It's the dissolving of the old that gives way to the new.
The other day I watched the video of John Lennon singing Imagine
and it brought tears to my eyes as I sensed what is fully possible for us together.
As structures shift and dissolve around us,
(and within us)
may we all hold steady
as we welcome the dissolving of the old and the birthing of the new.
Freedom in relationships is honored when we know and honor our own freedom.
World Peace is the Ripple - We are the Source
It is all very simple. Instead of seeing things imagined, learn to see them as they are. When you can see everything as it is, you will also see yourself as you are. It is like cleansing a mirror. The same mirror that shows you the world as it is, will also show you your own face."
